I am posting this to fulfill a promise I made. I do not see this as a HO shot but perhaps I am mistaken. I did see there was more forward angle than I normally like but I do not think it qualifies as a HO

<S> Sir, was a good fight, sorry you thought it a HO

Forward quarter, but not a head on shot. Even if he had wanted to, he could not have a firing solution on you, so not a head-on.
I frequently see people think they aren't ho'ing because the other guy didn't try for the shot, but he could have. This is different.

Get behind your opponent's 3/9 line within firing distance.
After you do this, you've defeated him.
Go ahead and kill 'em now.
<----hasn't ho'd since 2004.
A kill without a defeat is worth nothing, but defeating your opponent is worth everything.

HO stands for "Head On" Dosen't look Head on to me. Good clean shot.

Just because they werent "head on" doesnt mean that the n1k couldnt pull its nose up it could have been avioding, but in this case he couldnt. I know I have had many fights ruined because people take a shot hey dont think is a ho but the truth is i turned away from the ho

The question was if his shot was an HO. Not sure of the point u r trying to make.

Most better sticks aviod hos, which sometimes opens them up to getting shot down. I know when i die while avioding a ho I get pretty pissed

Just Dive underneath the hoer then Climb into a loop and then wing it from there
Works for me :D

Yeah but if you dive under and he noses down and sprays and gets the lucky shot thats a bs shot as it would be plainly obvious the diver was avoiding the ho, happens way to much to me, and just like JunkyII it pisses me off.

This is one of the reasons why I disapprove of raising the forward view over the gunsight and using the mouse to aim. It makes landing the most ridiculous HO shots, where the other guy is trying to avoid, a little more doable.

I do believe I could look over my gunsite, if I were sitting in a real airplane... Not saying a cursor would be there though :lol

No HO.........
And really, this is just another moaning and groaning thread. Surprised it isn't a few pages yet of all the people say they never ho, why do you have to ho, ho's stink....... blah, blah, blah......
Lead Ace of VF-10 (CV-6) had said he never had any other type of kill besides head to tail or head to head. Never a dogfight.
Ho's happen people, if you don't want to ho, make sure your riding a good rolling craft! Period, but stop complaining!
Oh, and yes, I will ho you! (But I'll let you open fire first.... Since I'm a better shot then you are)

You might be able to look over the gunsight, but depending on the plane and your height, what you probably wouldn't be able to do is raise your seat as high as the view in AH2 will go.
