Does the book say anything about drop tanks?  Don't know if they were used on the LA-7, but would be nice to have if they were.

No word about external drop tanks. However:
Quote
"there were three tanks of a total capacity of 466 litres, the main tank (170 litres) in the wing/fuselage centre section joint and two wing tanks of 148 litres each".

AFAIK AH's La-7 has only one main tank

Thanks, GATT  :)

The Czechs have a special relationship with the Lavochkin series.  A fighter regiment of Czech pilots was formed as part of the VVS.  They then flew air cover for the Czech resistance, using bases in Czech partisan regions.  After the war, they kept their Lavochkins, using them as part of their own air force.
