someone posted this on our squad forum, I'll just paste my reply:

Rich bloke whining.

the guy pays over $250,000 a quarter in taxes. This means he makes over $2m a year (probably closer to $4m a year if he has a decent tax accountant.) you can probably guess how sympathetic I am to his desire to make even more. Apart from the fact that without the taxes he wouldn't have a trained workforce to employ, infrastructure to transport his goods to market, hardly any market to sell into, no exports, no protection for his property (physical and intellectual) etc etc.

Uh-huh, I'm sure his "motivation" to sacrifice for a decade, while forming his company,  was to provide jobs...grrrr, don't get me started!   :furious

Since when did taxes pay for a trained work force.  All of my jobs, I received OJT.  Didn't knwo the government paid for training as welders and doctors and businessmen.  And the protection he receives is not paid by taxes either.  Insurance is paid by him and others that have policies with that business.  Remember, if the taxes were lower, he could expand his business and hire more people.  Don't understand how people can miss that.  I work in a company of less than 20 people.  The economy is slow right now.  Orders have slowed.  My bosses taxes are staying the same.  If things slow down more am I going to get laid off.  Maybe.  If his taxes fell as well, I might get to keep my job.

This guy is a joke, he also strikes me as very unpatriotic.

He lives in a country that gave him the opportunities to apparently build a multi million dollar business from the ground up. This likely happened in a time of strong economic growth and over inflation.

Now when there is a correction, he's going to cut and run, and take all of his USA made dollars to another country (where presumably he would not have had the same opportunities to start with). Yet at the same time he is blaming the government which gave him the freedoms to build the business in the first place.

The truth is if the government did more to prevent this economic recession all along, he would have likely never had the opportunities to make his millions in the first place.

Perfect example of, "asking what your country can do for you". Too bad he's taking so much money out of the country.

Some people need a reality check. There are plenty of business owners that have put in just as much if not more hard work into their companies, and have not seen a fraction of what this guy probably makes in one year. These business owners did not over extend themselves during the false economic growth and are now still strong enough to survive a few years of hard times.

Its the multi million dollar over inflated businesses (likely much like this guy's) that started a lot of the problems in the first place. So he must sell his fancy car, fancy house, fancy life style, and go back to something reasonable, or move to some low income country where he can retire and live like a king?  :cry me a river. And at the same time he's slapping the country that let him earned his millions right in the face and is not willing to stick it out in the hard times.

Good riddance, this is not the type of people that will help us out of our hard times.

snopes is INterestingly your friend in these made up stories

INterestingly enough - most taxes are collected by sales taxes which run the local and state governments - and the majority of those taxes are paid by the lower 25% of income levels - the tax proportion to income level is much more equal than any 1 party in this country wants to admit..

any body bring cheese to this whine party?

in the US since the mid C19th when public schools started to appear. I should have said educated or trainable. hard to read a manual if you cant, well, read...

taxes also pay for police forces, legislature and judiciary - hence protection :)

The government has no money. If your on handouts it comes from all your neighbors.

I pay alot of taxes on money that I earned. I employ 28 individuals. If you think everyone should be paid the same then go to a communist country. That is what they strive for. That is also why they have so little food and such. With everyone getting paid the same why strive to be better. Everyone can sit on their couch and get an income. No reason to plant crops, make electronics, cars, homes...........

No since in enjoying the fruits of democracy if you don't want to support it.

Most?  Hardly.

2007 sales taxes totaled about $237 billion ($787 per capita x 237 million americans).
(source - http://www.taxfoundation.org/taxdata/show/23857.html)

Federal income, corporate, etc tax revenue in 2006 was $2.4 TRILLION.

they collect plenty for the military - it is the hand outs & bail outs which piss me off

to watch my 401k tank by the hour because of the retarded actions of the comrade in charge pisses me off worse

"If that happens, you can find me sitting on a beach, retired with no employees to worry about."

So what your tellin' me Mr. BOSS is if they tax YOU like they have taxed the rest of US, then your going to close your company, JUMP STATE, and sit back in a chair and sip cheaply made alcaholic drinks till the day your heart stops.

Something tells me this guy is not born state side, most likely some india immigrant or something.

I dont know any (True) american (True) that would jump state no matter how bad things got.

He makes more, they take more, every tax he mentioned is tax's we ALL pay (with the exception of the employee payroll one) so basicly what hes sayin' is he makes 20 dollers a week, and the government took 50 cents of it.

Booh'freakit'ty hoo.

It's easy enough to say that people making $2 million shouldn't complain about losing $250,000 in taxes, but the fact remains that small businesses are failing and a large part of that reason is the amount of taxes they have to pay.  Not all of these small businesses are necessarily "bad" businesses or poorly run, either.  They just can't compete in the market while having to pay all the extra taxes...

I realize some taxes are necessary.  But every time I go to the post office...  Well, let's just say it's obvious the money isn't always well-spent.  We probably could do much more with less if we didn't believe that the government has to do it for us.

Not one single dime of your taxes goes to the Post Office.

It is very simple you must tax but for gosh sakes don't break it off in ya either . I have owned and operated a small contracting business and the taxes are horrible . So I quit and now work for someone the stress is a whole lot less , and I get time to play aces high 2.

Some of you are saying this "Boss" is unamerican.  What does it mean to be american?  What's the difference between patriotism and nationalism?  I've been told both are foolish and are there so that the american govt can control you.

Stamps are for a service.Feel free to use another if you don't like to buy them. When you use UPS,you are paying for a service. When you use FedEx,you are paying for a service.Neither of those are taxes either. You purchase stamps.Stamps are used to show that you have paid for mailing them.It is not a tax.

How about it?

it is a perfect example of how inefficient the gov can be with your money - where a private company could do much better with much less

but that is not what this group of jokers wants - they want larger more inefficient  gov that controls all and the minions continue to vote them back in for more and bigger hand outs

bye bye America - hello 1984 meets a brave new world ... pass the soma please .............
