Title: BTW, Free Falcon 5.0 released
Post by: SFRT - Frenchy on March 02, 2009, 10:40:15 AM
Version 5.0 runs on Falcon 4.0 or Allied Forces 1.0, features about 90 2D/3D cockpits, and graphic improvments such as nice vortices, improved aircraft modeling, naval operations ... yadiyada, check for yourself.

I am assuming that you can run carrier ops in that one too by the screen shot???

If so I have been looking for something to get my naval aviation jet fix in since I messed up my F/A-18 disk.

In a lot of cases though the graphics are mostly eyecandy and not realistic.  :(

Flyable A-6E?

That's available in any version by renaming your ValidAC file.

So you can install this over plain, vanilla 90s Falcon 4.0?

It looks very good - but unfortunately it has now given me blue screen of death 4 times - 3 times while flying the new Tornado. I Haven't experienced those kind of crashes in years.

I will stay with Allied Force for the time being.

No blue screen of death here, but many lock ups. FF4 was much more stable, but it's a new release, prone to many bugs. Make sure u read the manual included as well as the BBS of FF5 to find fixes. As an example, do not monkey with the graphic settings, it's all over the manual, but most people don't read it.
