It must kick bellybutton to jump a border into another country and the worst thing they do is take a paid bus ride back home.

Post by: FX1 on March 02, 2009, 01:16:28 PM: Its so much land and very thick brush. You would need a plane in the air 24hrs a day and ground support and i just don't think we have that capability. Also if i were a land owner having troops patrol my ranch would be hard to swallow.

it is quite hard for me to generalize all illegals as "bad" when one sues the landowner. immigration issues are complex and should be handled on a case-by-case basis. for every number of illegals, there is bound to be a bad apple(gun runner, drug mule, felon, etc.), but we can't categorize them all as bad. i always identify with these folks as i've worked for some of them helping them straighten out their status/citizenship. most of them come here to work (some to be united with their parents and siblings), for lack of better opportunities in their home countries (not just mexico). and, if you know me, no matter who you are as long as you work for an honest buck, i'm on your side.

it was once illegal for colored folk to sit in front of the bus. in hindsight, i hope you think that was ridiculous. maybe one day we'll soon see how just as ridiculous it is to restrict well-intentioned folk from living in and contributing to the improvement of this country. even now, they contribute to social security under false/stolen numbers without any hope of ever getting some benefit back, only for an opportunity to be gainfully employed.

last i read the good ol' book, if you cant love your neighbor as yourself, how do you even expect to love your enemies? but then again, the fool who taught that got crucified. =)

I am a Texan and i feel that we should be friends with our brothers across the boarder. Its sad that we cant go to Mexico like the old days. For the longest time we hunted partied and purchased goods in Mexico. Today i will not travel to boarder towns if you were to pay me.
