Title: bullets seemingly flying thru planes

What's going on here?  Do I need glasses?

I couldn't believe my eyes and kept trying different aims.. That's why the bullets sometimes go over or under.  I'm fairly sure that at least a few were flying through though.

I was dueling grizz last night and hit him with a 109k4 30mm and nothing happened.  Saw the hit sprite though, so its not really what youre talking about. Surprised me though.

The 30mm cannons just disperse like nothing I have ever seen but I think a lot of what is happening in the arena is sprites that just dont show and maybe this internet problem Skuzzy is trying to iron out with Savvis. My aimpoint for the 30mm is upper right edge of the fuselage line and most time the hit will be in the lefthand wing root and thats why I use the 262 for bombers when I fly it and not much else. I mean if you can miss a bomber it has to be bad!  :(

I have never seen bullets fly thru targets, except for non collidables like destroyed buildings.
The burst of bullets at 2'39" on the first film definitely go thru the 190.

I have a thread regarding this on the general forum titled "30mm damage". If you have the film, please add it to that thread. It's becoming such a common occurrence that I'm hoping with all of the films posted, something can be done to address the problem. Whether it's on our end or theirs.

i dont know if i filmed it scotch sorry, but if i find that i did i surely will post it. What i can tell you is it hit right in the section behind the pilots head, where the radio is usaly stashed behind the seat back. This has happened before on Nik2Js and La7s especially. I have never seen a spitfire take a 30mm and live that I remember.


This film shows a spitfire getting ripped to shreds by taters and then seconds later a ki84 takes two taters from extremely close range and only suffers an oil hit. Transfer it to your thread If you think it is of use.

I believe I have film of shooting a F4U with a 262 and giving him an oil hit only but I think it was just a single hit. Defective ammunition!  :eek:

I posted the link over, Bat. Though his engine dies pretty quickly it still seems like minimal damage.
