Title: Breaking Bad
Post by: CAVPFCDD on March 03, 2009, 10:06:32 AM
Anyone watch this series on AMC? New season is starting soon, if it's anything like the first, it should be awesome.

This show is just fantastic, Bryan Cranston, the main character won an Emmy for his part. It's dark humor with a great plot, truely an amazing program. I suggest if anyone didn't see the first season they go rent it and catch up, you'll be into the story in no time.

Never watched it. I think AMC needs their head examined. That is not a classic movie.

Breaking Bad is a great show, probably the best on tv right now. AMC is running the entire season one on Friday (3/6/09), with season two premiering Sunday (3/8).

AMC is doing what they have to do to survive in today's market place. They have another decent show in "Mad Men".

and mtv doesnt play music anymore....

You're right, but it still is a great show. I guess they're trying to branch out, get a new audience tuning into their channel.

heres the plot in a nutshell so i can hopefully hook some of you on the show. Main character played by Bryan cranston (see photo) is a science teacher who was just diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. His brother in law a DEA agent tells him about how much people are making cooking meth and agrees to take him on a meth lab bust. At the bust he sees one of his former students escaping the lab. They then team up to cook meth because he wants to leave his family with some money after he dies. (also being a chemistry teacher cooking meth is a simple process for him)

and thats basically it, but with lots of great plot twists, can't say enough good things about this show.

At the expense of the audience that got them to where they are today.

MTV was great when it first came out. Now it is just for the brain dead. Nothing but cameras following bottom feeder type people around. Never saw so many poster children for birth control on one channel.

I'd call Mad Men excellent, not just decent.

But isn't the current audience the same bottom feeders?  Or, better yet, bottom feeder wannabe's?

Therein lies the problem.

blah lets all stop talking about MTV it's makeing me feel all woozy. Its just a pathetic excuse for a TV station, the people on it and the people who watch it religiously stand for everything I'm not.

Now, breaking bad, yes AMC is for classic movies, but I don't mind them having 2 tv series, that doesn't take away from alot of movie viewing time. So far they've pretty much stuck to their same old ways, they don't play re-runs of the show 300000x a week.

They're supposed to be the American Classic Movie station but I think they like to see how many times they can air US Marshalls and some Clint Eastwood movie in a week without causing a blackout.

who cares what network / cable provider carries it?
If it is a good show- be happy it is on at least- or would you rather have another brain feeert reality show?

Breaking bad is one of the best shows that has started in the last few years.
