Have them as a Weapons Load on Jeeps  the Mines you take out cost you GV points , maybe a life cycle of 30 minutes once dropped...

I like it! But it tracks the heavier tanks, and you can see them if you look hard enouph so you can create a barrier that makes the tanks go around.

1 perk per mine? 5 mines per jeep, 45 minute cycle, and it only works inside the radar range of your base. Damn spawn campers wont be able to put mines one place so you won't run towards them or on to the mines. +1  :aok

i'm not sure what that means but i really do think its a cool idea, and didnt bother to search if it had been asked before.

but hey, I would never turn my nose up at a good boulder pelting.  :t

Yeah, a while back we had about 10 post all start for landmines and such and nothing really came of it.  I think it would be fun to do... especially at spawn's and such.  But jeeps do serve a purpose now bro.  They make great scouts, can get supplies to a damaged gv fast as well as troops for that last minute "Help I lost one troops! We need more!!"

Put a 50cal bullet into one and boom! Now we don't, besides we can get the modified Sherman that was used to clear mines.

Imagine going to all that trouble to model land mines, which have nothing to do with a flight sim, and nobody really wants anyhow. Within minutes you'll have the already oppressed tank guys in here screaming even more shrilly then they already do over the IL-2, "an actual airplane". I could just see one of these camp Kings getting his Tiger tracked by a land mine. :huh

And for what? To make the latest BBS Elvis feel welcome?

Didn't we have land mines in the first iteration of AKDesert? ( i.e. PIZZA )

Small white bumps you played heck with trying to avoid.  One touch and Ka-Tower!

Don't think they were much appreciated.. but,.. it did make you watch where you were going..

Ok, call it a "tank sim". Why complicate it even more by sprinkling mines around? The odds of getting a tank off a spawn, then survive the IL-2s, Lanc-stukas, and enemy armor, to make it to a town or a base are already slimmer then a garter snake. Why would you want to make it even harder by tossing mines out of jeeps?

Can you just imagine some of these fun police guys surrounding GV spawns with mines? :lol What would be next ? Sticky bombs? The LWAs are already becoming very difficult for armor to operate in and tossing mines out of jeeps is just a bad idea. No disrespect but its just the last thing we need right now.

Its a "WWII era combat sim" and I never said I liked the land mine idea.

Not wanting to start a new post, I really Like this & Think It could be designed by AH to enhance the game without being overly prohibitive and stopping the game, 30 minute cycle or less? Only used within 1.5K of feild or town(No spawn  trapping, only 3 per jeep, only placed in very important pathways, Not visible unless swept by troops? Suspect mines? Bring troops & let them out, They sweep & destroy in local area only.200k from release point.  could be fun....? :aok
