okay we picked on the muppets now it is time to start on LTARS.These are my favorite squad to pick a fight with.They seem to be a great source of entertainment on 200.If they get a litlle training time I may let them be a loader for me :D

I have always enjoyed tangling with the LTAR's especially with crazy old Skullman at my flank in his turret polisher. Keep up the tough fights gentleman!

LTARS are always a good time. Fought them back in the day while with ATC and now with DEA. Can always expect a lot of "lead" to be tossed back and forth.

average age of pilots was early 20's, crews didn't get as much training, figure 18 or 19....still just a baby.

I like when there are LTAR's at the base I'm defending. I like to feed them. I take off and gather as many cons as I can, (Sometimes I get a great conga line going) and drag them them back to my hungry little LTAR's..... Greedy bu*%ers they are. Always wanting more :D

story behind the picture
Probably most bizarre and gorgeous is a 1944 shot of a young WW II gunner roused from sleep by an attack who mans the guns butt naked. the picture itself is considered a piece of artwork.
i am sure if you getting attacked your not gonna worry about putting any clothes on either. i dont think they are gonna give you time to put on some pants before they start shoting

first off its a famous piece of art .. so its already in the modern world not considered obsene by any means. if skuzzy deems it to be offensive then so be it i change it. but i have seen the same avatar posted in numberous different forums with the same rules as here.

There are still plenty of the "old LTARs". But I know what you mean -- when I see LTAR on in force, I don't recognize half the names. Just means their current crop is a little green yet . . . and they will be whipped into shape in no time, I am certain.

Hey all you art critics get your own post :mad: This is to make fun of us LTARS :salute get your own.
Most of the "new" LTAR's are old timers that came from other squads that wanted the teamwork aspect of the LTAR squad. Myself I flew with GruppeOutlaws for 4 years
and everybody knows our newest member ReDhAwK from his skins. However we will take a noob if they want to ,and agree to work as a team member and they make the probation .
Me joining the LTAR MACHINE made the game fun for me again. :lol

I have the hardest time in a GV. I've tried turning down the graphics moving the slider to faster, I've hit <shift> F4 (ground vis range) and I still can't find the enemy vehicles. And should I find one the driver better be asleep because Its going to take more than one shot to hit them let alone kill them. ahhhh someday. :D

Mine is a depiction of very popular female that rode in the tanks with the soldiers for moral support. It may not be in black and white, it may not be famous or show the determination of a crew member, but it is a realistic portrayal of the rigors of WW2 tank combat.
And, it's fun to watch. :)

Lots of respect for the LTARs, fought with and against them.
They are a class act squad and was proud to fight with them. Now that I fly mostly Nit, I respect them even more when they shoot me down, more often than I would like.

man this watermelon is funny. zohan re-guardless if its art or if its posted on diffrent forums, this is HTC's forums and their rules. just cause its used on other forums and whatever does not change the rules and regulations on this forum.
now to fugitive funny post bro. and as far as the old ltars go most of them are still out there. some are even still with the squad, i would have to agree with the comment about the deadly part. i think the old squad of LTAR was more deadly in osti's but with the new WW out they don't have that range any more and most of them use the WW. i think if they started using the osti again and dusted the rust off i think they would be deadly like old times again.
even tho moil thinks he can fly now i still have a ton of respect for the LTARs :salute

I might also add that the increased "reach out and touch smebody" of the Firefly and the T34/85 has also added a new consideration to AA Gv'ing. The Osti at one time was the LTAR's bread and Butter, however; as the game evolves and improves so must we. I would like to think that we were never a one dimensional squad, and we certainly are not that now. LTAR's actually do have some of the best fighter pilots :O, bomber pilots, attack pilots, and tankers that this game has to offer. Osti perfection was an area of prowess that the LTAR's were always known for and perhaps "should" be known for so with that in mind we will strive to live up to that reputation. Carry on. :rock

...just came home from work early with a 102 fever. I'm drinking OJ and reading the threads. Just a few observations:
1- I'm no good in a Osti, but I excel at drawing enemy flak, catching on fire and crashing fairly close in order to illuminate the GV's location to my brothers on the ground.
2- There is some guy in the UK who posts artwork every Wednesday. I have always admired the Brits.
3- I am a junior LTAR; I'll be staying as long as they'll have me. It's not about the score; it's the mutual support and local area dominance.
4- There is some guy in Ohio who has a worse avatar than mine. Other than this I have nothing derogatory to say regarding the state of Ohio.

Thanks for the friendly jabs and the compliments from the Aces High community. As my fellow LTAR said we do strive to be a well rounded squad. Our biggist asset though is team work. Following orders and willing to drop what we are doing to help with what ever is asked. It also helps that we like each other and have a great time. <S>

Imagine that... I taunted the LTARs over and over again.
Then it finally came to me...Hey this Squad has everything I'm looking for.
So I asked (axed for you brothers) if I had a chance at being a LTAR.
A MAW going to LTARs? LMAO..I was a MAW for 2 years... a tuff move.
The first year was hard... had Kilz, Ghst, Rifl, Hntr, Thor, Rocket, Rogue, Bossman Moil and a Thrn in my arse...teachin me the ways of LTAR. After being dragged to far away places and beatin down I then realized that this is the squad of squads. I still miss Fezz...err Grif.
You can't help not to love the LTARs....some hate us but then again there's a jealousy thing.
Once you go LTAR you never go back.
