External views are enabled in the DA for fighters?

Better yet why are they enabled for bombers in the MA's? In the TA, sure I can see that, just disagree with it in the MA's. I also disagree with it being enabled for fighters in the DA.

i dont mind it so much for the Bombers. It is a little gamey, but tolerable. The fighters having external is just ridiculous though. Especially in the DA where its supposed to be a competitive arena. In the TA, i completely understand it. DA and MA?? No way.

Well if you think about bomber crews in WWII pretty much did have a 360 degree view of the airspace around them. So it's not completely wrong the way its set up.

Ratpack, I understand that crews has what basically amounted to a 360 degree view, and I for one would love to see bombers have multiple gunners in the game I think it would rock. But too many people are too reliant on external view, they couldn't hit a base without it :lol
That's just my opinion, and yea I fly bombers occasionally, but usually ones without bombsights, I justtook the time to learn how to do it from inside the cockpit. Do I always hit my target? NO but then again what was the hit % of WWII bomber crews.
But like BigR I would love to hear the reasoning behind it being available to fighters in the DA, It does allow for some SPECTAULAR shots to be made for sure.

I can understand why in the TA, but they shouldn't be in the DA.
It probably has something to do with furball lake being a learning platform for new pilots.

:salute I'm not easily offended so don't worry lol.
I don't need the external view to dive bomb. Of course I have used it now and then. Everyone has. IMO level bombing with the bomb sight can be much more difficult because so many factors can be introduced to alter the final result. Wind, height, bad calibrating, etc.........
Wouldn't bother me if they removed the ability to see externally.
I am in full agreement that if anywhere external view should be forbidden it would be in the DA.
I don't fully understand what you mean by multiple gunners. Don't bombers have that now?

The "funny" comment was not directed at you anyways so no worries :aok By multiple gunners I mean the ability to have a different player at each gun position, whereas right now you can have 1 player but he has to move around from position to position.
Grizz, I understand the usefullness of external view especially in reviewing films, and in training. But I personally never looked at furball lake as a training tool, maybe I'm missing something there. I have always found it to be more of unorganized chaos. It can be fun at times but, mostly it seems to me to be a gang/ pick fest. But I am far from even being a good pilot, so I may in fact be missing something good that others are seeing??

Many peeps use the F3 view in bomber attack mode to dive bomb from the external viewpoint.
Its just part of the game.

My favorite bomber "fad": Roll a Tiger, panzer, etc... They up a Stuka with 1800kg bomb....ok...good enough. BUT..if they miss, they roll a set of Lancasters and drop all their ord on your head...and sometimes still miss..*cough*GhostCDB*cough* :D (#S# Ghost)
