... then just friken run away. I don't mean gaining a little extension for a re-set. I mean running away.
If you are then don't turn back as soon as I've got my tail turned to you. I've already acknowledged that your faster and and are a waste of my time. The only thing that's going to happen when you turn back is that you're going to end up running away again. This is a complete waste of both our time. If you feel you're overmatched then go find another fight and allow me to do the same.
Thank you.

:lol
like you've never "extended"
-
See... this is why your K/H is suffering. Quit chasing them. :P
-
I think your missing the point. There are guys who run away and as soon as you indicate that you are breaking off pursuit they come right back at ya.
Then they miss their HO shot and wind up running in the opposite direction.
They are not extending they just want to HO then run. Extending usually involves gaining both vertical and horizontal separation...... these types are always co-alt, guns blazing, then dive away.

I always fool the noobs that do this because I make it look like im turning away, but stop half way and head back at them, by then they are coming back at me and get a face full of my bullets.
-
Perhaps the answer lies in your not turning back into them, give them your 6 sucker em in and kill em.
Just a thought.

Funny, I used that exact trick against you in FSO when you were running away in your P-51. I made a fake turn as if I were breaking off, and you immediately went into an immelman to re-engage...but I was expecting it, and shot you down not long afterward. :D
-
Be sure and get permission from your opponent before performing any sort of manuver, as they may
squawk and moan and stomp their feet if you don't make it easy on them.
-
It's a valid move when there's not enough room to reverse.. But running for sectors or to 5K out and returning only when the chaser is engaged..

It's quite tricky! But damn if I can't fly that P51 after 4 kills of BnZing and running and all the good stuff. Anything for a kill in FSO :lol

Well said.
AS for me, I'm not going to try to outturn plane that is whole lot better turner then my beloved pony. I use my speed to get away then turn around fight again; If someone is already egaging him, I won't try to pick although sometimes I do, depending on the mood i'm in lol
-
If you aren't prepared to turn fight your pony with a better turning plane, then you are already setting the precedent for timid flying by taking it out of the hangar.
-
I think running should only be used for egressing out to get more alt, and going RTB. Other wise i will fight ya. :rock

Most of the time I see ponies run out 6K only to come back with friends after they lost the initial advantage.

The Life and Times of a HO'tard...stay tuned for another of Clone155's riveting tale of HOing and other acts of unskilled prowess.

You catch me all too often my friend :cry

Some people won't turn for the fight until you show them some tailfeathers. Don't let it bother you all that much. I find these types aren't very confident and can usually be forced to overshoot and be punished. Just keep an eye on them for their turn back to you once they think you aren't looking.
