Title: .s <squad>
Post by: Saxman on March 09, 2009, 12:25:43 PM
There's been a couple times my squad has tangled with another and it would have been nice to be able to send them a "universal salute."

Great idea :aok, but I'm guessing they'd have to impliment it at the command (not parameter) level.
>  .sqs <Squad Name>

And how about if it only displays on the receiving squad's machines? (yes you can salute your own squad)

That way, the Pigs could use it to salute each other and not piss off people who accuse them of spamming country channel.

I think this idea would be easier.  Just put 2 S's for "squad salute" to the squad of a certain player (don't have to even use the CO's name).

It might be easier on the user end, but the relation between the CO's ID, and a squads definition in the coad seems like the above would take a lot more to implement.

Probably so.  I just thought of that because if you look up stats or rosters for squads you can type in a players name that you KNOW is in that squad and it directs you to the Squads page.

Hello B4Buster,

This is the sort of mentality that causes more problems in the MA's that some feel are troubled by bad behaviors.  I sincerely hope it was a joke Sir.  If so, <golf clap>.

Have a great day,

Way

I like the idea of a salute to other squads but dont do the .bird <salute> because we just might see alot of this

&^&*&$ Ltars
&^&*&$ Freebirds
&^&*&$ 68th

and so on to the point that the screen would be all 1 finger sautes...

though at times that could be a good thing... LOL
