Title: wheel brake problem
Post by: minke on March 09, 2009, 01:47:29 PM
I used the search function and found this -

http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,209692.0.html

I also have an identical problem, with the brakes not working on the slider. Tried all the stuff from the previous thread, do not want to reinstall the game. Slider works, even tried a different stick and a different keyboard and the fact is I have no functional brakes, left or right.

I have encountered the same problem since switching to an X-52.  No matter what I do, the brakes won't work and I have to resort to belly landing to stop.

Any thoughts?

Set it to the Default and try this...

I've also had this problem with the X-52 (standard version).

I tried mapping the analogue left/right wheel brakes to various positions on my joystick, and encountered several problems.  I forgot exactly what they were, but IIRC the brakes were either on or off (any perhaps it wasn't distinguishing between left and right...).

If needed to help, I will try remapping that later.

my wheel brake problem is fixed now,psu caused loads of problems. What was weird though was the space bar didn't function, had no other keyboard issues, just that. I've spent a lot of time trying to map wheel brake bias to my x52 or throttle quadrant with no success. let me know if you figure it out.

Once you mapped the wheel brake to the joystick, the keyboard function will stop working.  You have to clear the joystick mapping before the keyboard command will work again.
