My Cpu is a AMD 6000 X2 Dual Core & squaddie of mine told me I'd need a SATA drive. Just making sure i selected the right one. Thanks! :salute

That drive should be fine. But for $20 more you can get a lot bigger hard drive.

500gb 7200.11 SATA Seagate for $59.99.

Ah. That would be nice but unfortunately I'm unable to get that at the set moment. I might just hold off untill next week to hopefully pick it up. Danke fulmar!

Although that cable that comes with the combo is almost free, you have one hanging off your MB that you could use. I'm with Fulmar, get the bigger drive.

You might want to check the reviews on it, though. I noticed that when you leave the 250GB hard drives (SATA especially) and start heading to larger capacity, more customers seem to complain of random failures or DOAs.

This is the SATA Drive I would get. Yes its a little more money but well worth it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136319 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136319) It specs almost as fast a V-Raptor drive, has a 5 year warranty since its an enterprise drive. Very fast

Looks like you waited too long, the link now says the combo deal is no longer available. I've found that happen before with Newegg, you gotta move fast because the deals will be there one hour, and gone the next.
