I got to thinking over this after giving juzz some info on my other post about the Flak 36 & 41: http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/Forum9/HTML/000547.html (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/Forum9/HTML/000547.html)
The sighting system automatically calculates lead and lays the guns on target. Dispersion takes care of hits or misses, along with other factors. When [if?] we get mannable ack, how about a key that would get the gun roughly on target? Kinda like auto-aim only less precise. Here's how it might work:
You get a target on radar, and slew the gun around on him. Using the sight [zoom] you can get your crosshairs on him. Once you think you've got a nice shot, you hit Alt-A to auto-calculate his alt, speed, and course. This would get the gun about on target with him, and would automatically lead him. At high altitudes, wind currents, dispersion, and general problems in ballistics would keep you from getting a laser-guided shell.
Figure you might get him, you might not. Against fighters at high alt shooting an 88 would a bit futile. So you could only really use it against nice big targets; Bombers.
Whattaya think?

i vote for that....
and i vote for minuted rocket on 190
it will be cool to see the blast area of the rocket

How about Nebelwerfer batterys for on-base artillary? (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
I think if 3 or 4 of them were pointed up and all those rockets flying up would hit something...or drop their frames so low the ack would have an easy target (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

Is the ack going to be player controllable? I don't think so...? It would be very cool though.
The generic ack has been replaced with multiple types including high alt flak bursts. Light and heavy MGs, 20mm's, 37-40mm's, and 88's are now represented with their own characteristics.

If the 88mm Flak is manned, does that mean you get killed via killshooted when you kill one of your own country planes?

Nexx, the 88's aren't manned in 1.03. I am saying if and when they are manned in a future version, this little idea might work.
