Title: Pony screams?

The stuka is not the only one that screams while diving! :t I didn't know this, so I thought I'd share with everyone =)

The pony and especially the A36 Apache are much more terrifying the stuka ever thought of being. They 'enhanced' the stuka with sirens and the pony didnt need it.

Yup, the Japanese had a special name for the Corsair... "Whistling Death".  Got to see one and hear it at an airshow a few days ago.  Chilling.

I keep hearing/reading on the BBS that the whole Whistling Death thing was actually just American propaganda.

Slight tangent - Does anyone have good footage of a WWII warbird firing its guns in flight?  The only such vid I've seen is of two passes by a P40, on youtube, at an airshow on an overcast day.
