Eino Ilmari "Illu" Juutilainen's Brewster Buffalo BW-364. He achieved 94 1/6 kills in 437 sorties (36 in Brewster and 58 in Messerschmitt 109 G-2 and G-6). His aircraft was never hit by an enemy bullet.
Thanks for the model Jerry! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
Btw HTC - that's a 3DSMax 2.5 model - almost ready to be implemented into the game? (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

I hope if they model the brewster its the stripped down lightened finnish version.

Looks nice! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) Whats the specs on those things though?

I would have thought the fueselage plug would be longer :?
After all, that one looks like you could barely fit enough beer in the back for a celebration party never mind the girls, bonfire firewood and rover too (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

And include the fixed engine.
The Finns figured out what none of the Allied nations flying the thing did, why the engine was overheating chronicly, and better yet, the Finns fixed it. Seems there was a simple design flaw that was easily fixed by changing some pipes around.

Hehe, Nattulv was right (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Sorrow,
actually the rear fuselage is very roomy ( hmm is that a word? ). If I have the time and sudden burst of energy I could scan few pictures of the interrior... but I guess any Finn has the same pics though.

Yep, two men could sit in there, facing behind, their backs against the pilot armor. With some extra luggage and a dog too, if needed. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

The model is right. I think the perspective is making seem a little shorter, if at all. Trust me, I took a long time getting it right (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

WOW...that model looks great!!! Nice job Jerry (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) Have you done any other planes ?

Camo has a Finnish 109G-2 that I did for him awhile back. You can see it and one of my 109G6s by looking at this thread (and scrolling down a bit):

One day I'll catch up on some sleep - just as soon as I finish my Bf110... (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

If you haven't read it, try and find "Double Fighter Knight" by Juutilainen. It's a nice book on the Winter War and WWII era. Makes one pine for not only the Brewster Buffalo, but the I-16 too....

Hmm seems my humour is not getting through (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)
I knew it was cavernous, the model just seemed a bit on the smaller side fir the size of the tail plug (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) It is just perspective though, I knew that.
BTW it has been found in super secret KGB archives how Luukkanen managed to shoot down so many Russian pilots in his Brewster! Turns out that the Russian pilots, confused by the odd shape or the plane, the fact Luukkanen usually was seen with a beer in his hand and had labels pasted all over the tail of his plane confused the pilots flying against him! Believing him to be flying a cargo plane of lager many refused to shoot such a precious cargo, instead tried to force him to land at their base. Even after he shot at them they felt he was justified in fighting to keep the precious liquid to himself and allowed him to leave. Those wily Fins....

Heh!
The problem you guys have is, that you
have to beg your Brewster from the sim
maker...
Open architecture has it's good sides...
