Me and bj229r were flying in the DA this morning and he said we should take the base alt of 5.2k off the DA lake bases. This would prevent you killing someone in the furball at the end of the cliff and then him coming back in a Tempest and BnZing you. :aok

The idea of furball lake was to make it so there could be instant action. Basically they took the donut hole from the donut map and dropped into a corner of the DA. The whole point was to start with some altitude to enter the furball with. Regular Furballers would just come screaming back in and continue to feed the furball. Removing the alt bases would take that away while not putting a dent into those dorks who grab a bunch of alt and do nothing but cherry pick.
I think a good solution would be to put a cap on the lake, say you climb over 6k and your plane explodes :t

I like that idea. what about enable friendly collisions? boy that would cause a stink!

I think the purpose of the 5K (I think?) bases were so you could take off and level out. Instead people are grabbing 10K+.

I think a 10k cap wouldn't be bad. you still have room for altitude fights but would limit hi alt picking somewhat.
that said. I like the DA as is. the pile its there are what needs the overhaul. need more vets over there flying and 'mentoring' the tards and not just bashing them. don't get me wrong they still need some bashing
