Title: Idea for Recon planes

Allow some planes to have a "recon" loadout -or- bring in some observation only platforms. 
Observation platforms would have a dar ring around them something smaller than a field. 
Also allow them to "spot" NOE raids (e.g. their DAR goes down to 50ft AGL, since they are looking down)

Just a thought.....

Not sure how they could earn points though, maybe make points a function of time and red dots observed.

For those that play fair, perhaps. For those more interested in the "peek, report, kill" method :rolleyes:, there would be no need.

I dont like the idea because I can see dual account people parking around the arena and 'shining' missions or worse. Too much potential for abuse I think.

maybe you make it so "plane dar" range is a function of how high AGL you are.  That would mitigate "parking".

You could also make the radar defendant on the total number of friendly field radars that are still up with in a 4 sector (2x2 sector box) of the radar aircraft. This would prevent a lot of parking and would also prevent deep recons in to enemy territories.
