Title: could use a few prayers

I just got back from the dr.I have to have surgery mon.My right leg has severe blockage and he is gonna try a bypass.It doesnt look good though and was told to prepare to have it amputated.He is gonna try and bypass from above the knee to the ankle but dont look likeI stand much chance.I would appreciate a few prayers as I am a lil scared.

thank you guys I really appreciate it.As to why the blockage-smoking and really crappy diet-in other words good food.Now I am on a heart patient diet which means it sucks.They tell you about cancer and others but smoking is a huge part of it.There is a disease called bergers which collapes your vascular systom and it is caused solely by smoking.

To all the smokers out there: Smoking not only affects the lungs but your arteries and veins as well. I use to smoke but quit due to blood clots in both legs. I will be on Warfarin (anticoagulant) for the rest of my life. My legs swell up every day and they look really ugly. So please quit now

yeah this aint the first dr.I also really trust my family doc.This is my 2nd femoral bypass.I was told 4 years ago to expect it.I am in end stage PAD-critical leg eschemia.Not muich left to do.PLease quit smoking as this is a result of 40 + yrs of smoking plus I have COPD.I know I have no room to preach but just trying to pass on hard earned lessons.I dont want anyone to go through this and if I can get just one of you guys to quit it will be worth it
