I was reading A Non-fiction book called "Under a war torn sky" About a young Bomber pilot who is shot down over France in WWII. His Ship was called "Out of the Blue" and had a Lady with Blue lace, red hair, sitting On a cloud Holding a bomb by its fin.
Is it possible that someone can make this Skin?
I do not believe this is a Historical Plane that flew in WWII but it would be fun to have
BTW the Book was awesome 10/10 stars :rock

Heya Barko,
If it is not a historical skin then we cannot make it to put it in game. I doubt anyone will make one for you just to fly offline.

I still Have the book (Have to give it back next week) And I looked at the B-24 at the top of the page.
I think I could make out the Nose art. it may be A Historical Plane.

I don't think you can tell from here though
The B-24 Looks like a Picture. If anyone has any books try to make out the Markings, So maybe we can see the Bomb group and Maybe even find the plane. :)

That's a 15th AF B24 on the cover, but more often then not the cover photos on aviation books don't neccesarily reflect accurately the unit of the guy in the book. My favorite is the biography of a 5th AF P39/P47 driver that has a flight of TBMs on the cover. Does it list his squadron and bomb group?
It will be easy from there to come up with an accurate photo.

I Quickly skimmed the book before taking it back to the Library today. Sadly, I did not see it. :cry

I did a search in google books of the book by key words: group, squadron, and bomb group and the only hit I got near what we are looking for was:
Henry hadn't focused on the knot of men standing behind Billy. A young, blond stranger stepped forward. "B-Seventeens, Fifty-Sixth Bomb Group,' he said in a....
Fiction.
The also mention English mud. Unless they are referring to the type of mud in Italy, that rules out the 15th Air Force.
Seeing as how it's a young adult novel, I don't think they sweat the details too much. Who's going to know?

Actually, IIRC from the book, it was a stranger who they thought was a spy. It only confirmed their suspicions when he said the name of a fighter group for B-17s.

That's interesting. I haven't read it. Never even heard of it before this. The exerpts on Google Books were very small. I guess they want you to actually buy the book.

I'm usually never down with fiction books, but it's worth the read. Some parts more or less may be or may not be historically accurate. IIRC, there was a part where a 4 engined plane shot down one of the B-24s in his group at the beginning.
