If you're gonna wish for a Carrier based plane, at least wish for a real one!!

This is the plane that was developed from some of the metal from the B-29 that dropped the nuke on Japan!

The blast gave the metal unique properties that took years to understand and put to good use.

And gentlemen, this is the final result!!

this how ever is real

X-47B!

The X-47B is expected to be the first tailless UAV jet to operate off an aircraft carrier, which includes catapult launches and arrested landings; to do that it will also need to be capable of maneuvering precisely and autonomous around the flight deck. But none of that is expected to happen until sea trials in 2011.

i think they where on the ranger

Steaming to Quonset Point, R.I., Ranger loaded 68 Army P-40 planes and men of the Army's 33d Pursuit Squadron, put to sea 22 April, and launched the Army squadron 10 May to land at Accra, on the Gold Coast of Africa. She returned to Quonset Point 28 May 1942, made a patrol to Argentia, then stood out of Newport 1 July with 72 Army P-40 pursuit planes, which she launched off the coast of Africa for Accra the 19th. After calling at Trinidad, she returned to Norfolk for local battle practice until 1 October, then based her training at Bermuda in company with four escort aircraft carriers that had been newly converted from tankers to meet the need for naval air power in the Atlantic

the ranger and the langley was used to launch P-40s off of many times to africa

On 23 June Manila Bay came under enemy air attack during refueling operations east of Saipan. Two fighter bombers attacked her from dead ahead, dropping four bombs which exploded wide to port. Intense anti-aircraft fire suppressed further attacks; and, as a precautionary and rather unusual move which Admiral Spruance later characterized as "commendable initiative", Manila Bay launched four of the Army P-47's she was ferrying to fly protective CAP until radar screens were clear of contacts

You know a buddy of mine (another engineer no less) sent me that picture abut a year ago. He was incredulous that the NAVY had managed to keep the program so secret that even those of us in the industry were kept clueless. I showed him the shot of Jessica Biel in the cockpit and asked him who he thought was clueless now.
:rofl

(BTW, according www.the-numbers.com back when it came out, Stealth was the biggest money loser in movie history. Something like $240 Million was spent making that joke)

If the x-wing is introduced even the wirbel will have trouble with it so I suggest for balance reason we add this:
