Title: Using swith panels or throttle quadrants for aces high?
Post by: 68valu on March 20, 2009, 07:00:51 PM
I was wondering if anyone out there has tried to use the Saitek switch panel "Pro Flight Switch Panel" for Aces High or if the game even supports it, or the use of separate throttle quadrants, in conjunction with rudder pedals and joysticks.

I don't wish to have a discussion on which is better, CH or Saitek, just looking for input on using those additions.

I currently use the go flight panels for some of the functions in the game kinda new @using them but preliminarly all good so far just may take you a little time programming the switches

Not sure if this answers your question but I have an X52 plus another stick and a throttle quad all hooked up and running ingame. The game recognizes all of the controlers and lets you program them sepperately. You could use gamepads or any other controlers and simply select them in "map controls" and assign any function to any key, button or switch.

You can mix and match, use a CH stik and X52 throttle as an example. :aok

I had an old logijunk stik that didnt work but the buttons functioned so I use the 12 odd buttons and bonus I have another hatswitch aswell.

I use a throttle Quadrant The extra buttons are nice, just wish I could get the sticks to work the engines right. I would like to push it to its first detent to start the motor and then the rest of motion for throttle. I guess I need to visit the CH Hanger and ask over there if its possible to do in AH. I'm not sure on how to write a script to do it. I might have to ask for help over there they have many knowledgeable people there that are willing to help.
