Title: bombing salvo issue
Post by: flatiron1 on March 21, 2009, 09:53:12 PM
for some reason I am having intermittent problems with my salvo when set to say 8 in a b24j. sometimes it drops all 8 and sometimes not. The last time this happened it only dropped 3 out of 8 and when I hit the B button later it dropped 5. any ideas. I am doing this in the offline version for practive and have not tried it in online yet.

tried it in main arena same problem, as I keep flying sorties I am seeing that is dropping 3 and when I switch back to cockpit view the other 5 drop on their own. really confused on this one.

Ive seen this in the past in M3's dropping troops---as soon as you leave the proper position for deploying said ordinance (driver for troops, F6 for bombs) the deployment ceases

that's not what is happening. It stops before I leave the bombsight. Also after the first bombs drop I cannot drop the remainder. When I go back to the cockpit view they drop on their own.

are you watching the bombs drop, or are you listening to them drop? You might have a sound issue, either with a custom sound being bad, or your computer isn't strong enough to keep up so the sounds are off. Just a thought

problem solved, bj229r was right I was switching to the belly gunner to see my results too quick. In the past I had only dropped two bombs max so it never happened before.
