Title: bomb salvo problem

not getting any help in the help/training so will try here.   just tried it with 500lb salvo 12 worked once twice only dropped 6


here is summary of what posted so far


for some reason I am having intermittent problems with my salvo when set to say 8 in a b24j. sometimes it drops all 8 and sometimes not. The last time this happened it only dropped 3 out of 8 and when I hit the B button later it dropped 5. any ideas. I am doing this in the offline version for practive and have not tried it in online yet.



tried it in main arena same problem, as I keep flying sorties I am seeing that is dropping 3 and when I switch back to cockpit view the other 5 drop on their own. really confused on this one.


are you watching the bombs drop, or are you listening to them drop? You might have a sound issue, either with a custom sound being bad, or your computer isn't strong enough to keep up so the sounds are off. Just a thought

I think you have to stay in the bombsight or Cockpit for the bombs to drop.  If you switch to a gunner position, your bombs, even on a high salvo setting, will not drop.

What do the salvo and delay read when in the bombsight? Do they match the numbers you manually enter with the dot salvo and delay commands?

Kermit is correct but in the other post IIRC you said you do not leave the bombsight when this happens.

I thought I had posted this reply but must have messed it up too,


problem solved,  Kermit was right I was switching to the belly gunner to see my results too quick. In the past I had only dropped two bombs max so it never happened before.
