I believe a few were mentioned in the keylogging thread but what is a good program to block or restrict content on websites for my kids?

Or your Hosts file. However that blocks IP addresses, not websites.

Nothing beats education.

Now, tell me you never did anything when you were growing up that you didn't want your folks to know about?
Would you have been happy if there had been the equivilent of a collar around your neck that wouldn't LET you do anything wrong?

Kids have to be kids, its part of who they are and how they learn.
But work with them, educate them, reward them when they get it right, make right choices.
Add responsibility as they are able to handle it.

Yeah, well. I know I would like to block a government website which has nothing to do with our government.... If you know what I mean. The possibility of kids stumbling upon that website when simply researching that particular agency is quite high.
