Title: Nvidea Driver updates
Post by: ebfd11 on March 22, 2009, 04:51:09 PM
I have installed the Nvidea 9800 gtx Video card and today I tried playing and I got an anomaly of sorts the center part of my screen was perfect but the outer 2/3 of screen was distorted and stretched. I searched for the new drivers and I amhoping it will work now ... will update ASAP

<edit> Ok that did not work.. do I need to re D/L the game and see if that helps???

Are you running the game with the "Widescreen" option selected, but did not set the resolution to a "Widescreen" resolution?

By the way, when you updated your drivers, did you uninstall the old ones first? If not, you'll have to reinstall the current drivers after removing all other NVIDIA drivers from your system. If you don't, you could run in to some more, "anomalies."

I have installed the Nvidea 9800 gtx Video card and today I

I recently installed the same card...512 mg version. The latest Nvidia 182.08 drivers caused problems insofar as the card shut itself down. I deleted those and rolled back to 181.22 drivers...seems fine now.

What monitor size do you have? You want to match the native monitor resolution to a similar setting in AH2. If you have a wide screen LCD, be sure to enable the wide screen option in AH video set-up.

well after some fudging around I got it working again and the situation is resolved. BTW thanks skuzzy I had the game itself in widescreen but the card was set up in regular resolution.
