Title: The Great escape, - 65 years

Yes, it's been 65 years. Been reading a lot of books of the various escape attempts. While this one was good, there were better ones. And the ending was sad.

Mr Tommy Thompson lived just down the street from me when I was a child.

 Unfortunately he wouldn't talk about the war so I never had the pleasure of hearing his stories.Apparently he was deeply troubled by his memories!

One of my favorites.

If Hilts had been real, there's no doubt he'd have been a P-38 pilot.
