This has weighed on my mind for a bit. For Aces High, what is the appropriate resolution for a 22" screen?
I'm currently running at 1650x1050. What would be the next logical step down?
1650X1050 runs fine at 16X anti-aliasing. But at 16Xq my fps goes down to around 40 when I get near land and kills the "reality" factor..

Just use whatever the "Native Resolution" (some companies call it "Recommonded Resolution" as well) is for your monitor. I know the two most common "Native/Recommended resolutions" for 22" LCD's are 1680x1050 and 1440x900.
Hope this helps.

did you mean 1680 x 1050?
you must have a widescreen monitor 16:10 aspec ratio. other resolutions you can run are:
1440x900
1280x800

I would think using the same resolution and dropping the anti-aliasing down to 8X would be a better solution. Anti-aliasing uses up a lot of resources.

You know, I had to turn anti-aliasing off because the "smoothing" effect (while very nice looking) made it more difficult to tell what direction an enemy aircraft was facing at anything over 1K.
