Frontal deflection yes, HO no.  He was just about roped out and you pulled through inside his turn and lit him up stem to stern while looking at the top of his plane.  In a friendly duel I would pass on that one most times but since he took basically the same shot at you from a much farther distance at the top of the first immel I would have blasted his bellybutton too.

A proper HO attack is a skill, and it was a tactic used by real fighter pilots in WW2.

I never had much tolerance for sore losers who used the "he HO'd me" as an excuse.

Jeez I don't know about a skill . I haven't played a year yet , and it was how I got my 1st kill , that was on 2nd sortie of the day . Legitimate , guess I can't really argue that . I prefer to have a good fight , instead of a quick kill  . It was a duel and there are certain micities involved too . I wouldn't have taken it had he not shot at me with same basic shot the pass before .

Does that even distinguish that the exceedingly fine line between girlfriend & ho is getting even that much thinner??

I watched the film several times.

From what I saw, Einhorn was not in a position to put guns on hlbly whereas hibly kicked some rudder and rolled his plane to get position for a decent front 1/4 shot.  There was no HO when hlbly smoked his engine.

It looked like Ein was pulling for all he was worth going for lead pursuit (i.e. nose to noe) and was out of position to be able to land a shot on hlbly.  I did not see him being able to maneuver his plane into a nose to nose position because of hlby doing that rudder roll.

I would add Ein's 1st shot after the merge was a bit "cheap" imho.  (legal but cheap)  It was not all that much diff. than hlby's shot that he is calling a HO.

I would also add that hlbly is waiting a bit too long to fire imho.

Thnx Lute was looking for a stick of your ability , and gameplay morals . That wasn't a squaddie or someone I fly with all the time to look it over . When I see Einhorn next time I will direct him here . I will look at my films and check my timing on firing . Thank you for the added critique . I know there is a tendency to get annoyed with this particular kind of question . How ever imho it's something you want to see . To me it represents new players who would like to do it the right way . Learn to be a good stick  , give a good fight . Not just be a guy who ho's , or is hipocritical . The thing  I think my opponet missed . It should be about the fight , not the kill . I would rather lose a 100 exciting good fights then win ever fight I went into where it was ho or ack hug or extend 6k .

first immelman was a HO no doubt which would have pressed me to HO him, but your shot was clean. BTW is that a muppet landing kills in the DA :P

Oh, I meant to make fun of him for that.  Thanks for reminding me.
