I secured a .com name thru GoDaddy. I want to make it automaticly send everyone to another site I already have. How do I do this?
I am a total noob at websites.

RPM,
There are many different ways to do this. Here is a site with some html code samples to use. If you can't make head ot tails out of it, PM me with the 2 sites and I'll write the code for you.

The 4th method is the .htaccess file. Depending on your search engine criteria, you may want to look at how the redirect is formed. If you just do a standard redirect without specifying a redirect code, some search engines will index your site twice and reduce your ranking or do other funky items with your site.

Doesn't GoDaddy have some redirection tools in the control panel? If not, just follow the previous two poster's guidance, it'll work just fine.

Log in to Godaddy -> click "Domain Manager" in left menu (or "My Domains" in top menu") -> select domain from list -> click link under "Forwarding:" -> Check "Enable Forwarding" box -> enter URL -> select temp or perm -> click "OK"

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the help! :aok

Use their manager. Lookup redirects and search engine optimization also. Proper redirects wont penalize your other site in the rankings, incorrectly done you could get your site delisted. Either way, no one will find the site you are redirecting from, you will have no page rank what so ever....ever.
