295mph at 18,000ft? It's obviously undermodelled!

Thats an old image from before the EAW guys figured out how to do new 3DZ files.
At that time we had to use european 3D models to represent pacific war aircraft.
The flight model used would have been as close as Charles Gunst could make it for an A6M2 Zero.

Pongo I've got a couple of photos of an Fw 190A marked pretty much like that one. The Japanese acquired one for testing.

Funked, didn't the Allies apply the codename `Fred' for that bird as well? Another oddity is the Spitfire captured by the Germans and re-engined with a DB-603 (I think, may have been a 601..not sure). I have only seen a left-rear quarter picture of it though.

Sundog, yep the Fw 190A-5 was given the codename Fred. I've got a photo of that DB-engined Spit too. I'm waiting for a book to arrive so I can scan some Ju 88 stuff. When I break out the scanner I'll do some scans of these mystery planes.

The spit had a DB 605 and a cowling that looks like it came off an Me410, wierd stuff.
