Add a seatbelt, beverage holder, urinal and a bomb chute and it would be perfect.

Combine that chair with a TrackIR and you're sure to need a barf bag!

Seriously, though, how *could* you use a head-tracker with something like that?  The chair - and your head - seems to move around a lot but the video screen stays put, neh?

Maximum User Weight: 250lbs  :(

The tracker would have to be fixed to the chair in some way. If not , there would be lot of annoying additional movement.

Compatibility:
   Xbox 360
   Playstation 3
   Games for Windows

Should already work in AH especially if you can hook in a USB controller. No need to mod it.

Somehow I don't think so. I believe the game has to send data to the chair regarding which direction it should move and when to execute the movement. As far as I'm aware, it doesn't do that.

Well I would have to see or explore a little more but from the way the video looked to me that thing may have some inputs but it looked more like a user generated action based on the movement of the control arm.

I just watched the assembly video and it still looks like a simple USB connection to a sensor in the base of the chair but it doesn't look like it would require any modification to make it work within a windows based game.

It's user generated, the movement is.

hrmm. I've got a bit of electronics hobbyist experience. If I were going to build something like this (and maybe this is how it works) I'd probably create a "pass-thru" in which you plug your stick into the chair and then plug the chair into your computer. This would allow the chair to eavesdrop on the stick data (which is a communication standard) and then move the chair in response to your stick input. Software on the PC could adjust the stick "sensitivity" and it would then work any time the stick is moved... Additionally, you could also have the software monitor the running games (effectively disabling the movement if the stick is accidentally bumped when there's no game in progress...)

I may build something like this myself when I move back to the states and have an actual garage. My small Japanese style apartment won't cut it!

[EDIT]
I may actually build a miniature mockup of something like this using some servos... that is if I can tear myself away from the game long enough to do anything "productive."
[/EDIT]

How are you going to simulate the Gs in something of that size?

Ah... I'm stuck in the age of Full-Motion Simulators.
