Since I help a lot of people with their TrackIR4 devices, I have been developing this document (http://snomhf.exofire.net/trackIR.html) that details all the elements of setup.

Looks like a pretty good tutorial. Does the profile you create there move the head to the side in the rear view? Someone posted a TIR profile here on the BBS that does, and it's most excellent. Much better view than the default.

What a good way to support the community!

Yes indeed it does.  That's actually the "TrueView" feature which is built into AH and can either be enabled there or inside TrackIR.

The profile you see is basically the one Mace posted here a couple of years ago with a few minor tweaks.  It's a great profile and has served me well.

Oh, ok. I have that profile... that's basically the same thing I was asking the OP earlier in the thread - The head being offset when checking your six.

LOL!

If you look at the url of that profile Dentin posted you will find he got that off my web site.  It the is same profile that is in my tutorial.

So, is the profile in my document as good as the one Dentin posted?   Ahhmmmm, yes, I would say it is!   :lol

I just found this and wonder it it will work with TackIR5?

edit:  track ir 5 software is different so I answered my own question.  If anyone has a profile for verson 5 you want to share please let me know.  Thanks

The profile should work on version5
