It's been 6 months since i did the furball thing at dweeb island and what can I say: I never seen a massive clump of dweebs at the same time. Talk about trying to merge with 3 spit 14's and them hoing you at every merge (and still getting pwned; lol).
How about the cavalier tempests that wing up to follow you all the way back to prevent you to land kills and fail. Thank goodness i just do 1 v 1's in the DA.

Oh, what the OP says is entirely true, no doubt. The only thing I can add is that at least he didn't have to fly 25 miles to get HO'ed and picked. :D

I like landing 7-8 kills in an FM-2 to freak out the Tempest pick tards who think they're special for landing 2. :D

That's the only time I land also. Just to Pi$$ them off (not that it happens often.) Lol....

Yea, i mainly use the DA for training.
Ex) Getting ganged,anti-pick manuvers,Picking,1v1's,Roping
But there are some people who treat the DA as the real deal. :huh

I did a 1v1 vs one of the DA only pilots(said hes been playin 4 years) he did one fight and asked how long i played i said 2 tours he says dont lie to me and i said iam not and he said ok bye bye and logged off :(
Iam not good at all and he lost and logged off i asked him to give me feedback before hand guess i have to review the films.

Cant for the life of me understand why its called the "Dueling Arena" When thats the one thing it absolutely isnt.
And why you will never see me in there.
I mean whats the point?
If someone and myself have a score to settle and we want to do it 1 V 1. I can just as easily call them out in one of the main arenas and run the risk of getting interfered with as I can in this so called "Dueling arena". And I wont have to risk leaving the arena and not be able to get back in when Im done.
They should rename it for what it is

HTC, and the community would be far better served if they set up "Dueling" similar to like they had it in Air Warrior.
You didnt even have to leave the Main arena. Challenge someone to a duel, Agree to what rules you were going to fight by.(cold merge, Alt, Types of planes etc) Pick your fields and have at it.
You became invisible to the rest of the arena. It was just you and the other person without even an outside chance of some cherry picker coming in and ruining a good fight.
Barring that
They should at least call the arena what it is. the Melee Arena, or the Furball Arena
Cause a "Dueling Arena" is the one thing it isnt.

WOOO yea man i remember those days.When you had ALL the lag and squeakers you could possibly have and pwn.As a matter a fact i do remember havin some fun times in there but that was back in the day.....hehe especially near the end when bombers dropped fifty bombs nonstop from all the hackers lol freaked every one out. :O ....even if they did ruin it :(

The point is that the score potatoes won't risk their precious score and rank in the MA when they die in a duel.
I go to the DA once in a while just to goof around, or practice with a squaddie or friend. The TA is good, but since you don't get shot down, the DA is the next best thing to practice new planes or tactices to see what it takes to kill/die. And generally speaking, most times we are not bothered. For those times that we are, we just wing up and grief the griefer until he gets a clue - it gives us a chance to practice wingman tactics. :D

The DA is good for tuning up one's SA before FSO.
If you are not :noid and looking around every 3 seconds after being in there, then you probably will NEVER develop any SA. :D
You will find every cretin under the sun in there, using every lame tactic possible.
The best part is when they try to justify the tactics they use.
