Title: Kill Shooter off on IL2

Post by: fuzeman on April 07, 2009, 12:04:28 PM: KIllshooter is an arena setting that effects all aircraft. Its impossible to have to be on in all the others and not a single platform.

Sounds like you need more practice on the fine art of the HO.

BTW IL2 has 23mm or 37mm not 30mm.

I've killed gunners on my bomber shooting at gunners on someone else's bomber before. You need to aim better.

How long ago? In the main arenas, kill shooter is off for bombers shooting bombers. Have tested it many times.

Shoot the gunners. I killed my L waist gunner and my tail gunner shooting at a squaddie from the nose in a B-17. Was probably 2 months ago?

Found that out one night the hard way when I shot at a Tiger's turret and the 75mm HE round ricochet in the air and hit a friendly plane as they were coming out of their strafing run on the Tiger. Also found out that you can killshoot yourself on a friendly pilot that has bailed out and running around on the ground.

The other day A8Grind tried sneaking up on me while I was in a B25 and I hosed him with my tail gun pretty good and it knocked out my 75mm?

Yep Iv had that happen many times. Iv also forgot that the 75mm can killshoot you when I shot it at a friendly goon to try and scare him and blew my wing off.

But if you shoot a bomber while in a bomber, killshooter is off. (All planes that are friendly, of course)

Post by: BaDkaRmA158Th on April 11, 2009, 02:07:21 AM: Exactly ack-ack, even tho my p39's 37mmm is fairly limited in blast damage range, i still have managed to kill shoot myself on friendly's that get in the right spot at the wrong time.

I see what you're saying now...fixed

What I meant to say was...

Bomber vs bomber = nothing

bomber vs fighter = killshoot

fighter vs bomber = killshoot

All planes friendly is the situation
