More on that encounter:

Oh and RAM? Can we have the TA-152's gun jams modeled?? <sarcasm mode = paused>
And another aircombat anecdote:
"on 19 April... No 222 Squadron undertook a strafing attack on Husum Airfield. During this mission F/O Walkington chased and shoot down a small jet aircraft unlike any previously seen. Subsequent analysis of combat reports and gun camera film revealed that the aircraft was an He 162, one of the few to fly operationally."
It's the man, not the machine (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Walkington was flying a Tempest MK V, just not low, slow and surprised this time.

"... Ta 152 by out-turning and shooting down the Tempest"
"... The Mustang outdove either German fighter and turned CONSIDERABLY tighter than the MESSERSCHMITT and MARGINALLY better than the FOCKE WULF."
hmmm, go figure.... I've heard from numerous sources (quoting german pilots) that the FW turned better than the Me109, but then again, they didn't fly AH at the time :P

This is probably against late war 109 (G10?)

Oh no! You mean that damn Ta152 will be able to out-turn my Tempest? Agh! BAN IT! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Ta152 and Tempest will probably hardly ever meet in AH; if they do I'd rather be flying the Tempest. This thing has Hispano Mk Vs fer chrissakes (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Read what the Smithsonian has to say about the history of the Ta-152:
http://www.nasm.edu/nasm/aero/aircraft/focke_ta152.htm (http://www.nasm.edu/nasm/aero/aircraft/focke_ta152.htm)
It was not de-bugged before entering production, and only a handful made it to operational units. Unfortunately, neither of these facts will be modeled in AH.

Yeah it's about as unfortunate as not modeling the frequent engine problems and weak landing gear of the N1K2. <G>
-
...Or jamming cannons of Chog or Napier's engine problems (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
-
The did manage to model the Soviet fighters made the day after the factory workers received their monthly ration of vodka though... (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
-
Or the jamming guns of theTA-152 (did anyone read the story above?) as well as the nototiously weak 109 landing gear and fragile fuel lines on the 190.......
Cod this sh&t gets old.

What are ya, a fediddlein parrot Westy? And you must have failed to notice that the first person to whine about this was complaining about the lack of modeling in the 152, we were merely replying in kind. Sometimes it pays to read before you spew.
