So I am hoping that the IL2m3 (with 37mm) is high on the list so I can get revenge (repeatedly!).

I like them my self, I like defending a base with them that is being wasted by the enemy especially when I go the last working one and the vehicle hanger is smoking (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif), I like covering a column of armor on the attack with one (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif), and I LOVE BREWING one up with my Pzkfw IV, but the BEST is diving down on one and BLOWING it up with a FB( dreams of Hs 129's are dancing in my head (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) )

If you are on the ground, shoot for the lower front hull. 1 shot kill with 75 mm, 2 shot kill with 37 mm, and even 150 rounds of .50 cal will work.
Also the turret is very vulnerable to strafing or rockets. Even .50 cal will take out the gunners.

No need for the Sturmovik when you have the chog, tiffie and Spitfire. All of them are more than capable of taking out osties and pnzs with a few runs.
The LW needs the F8, so it can drop some more eggs on 'um (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif).

Unlike any other plane in AH, the Sturmovik is acutally well armored, plus the two high velocity 37mm's should make it a much better anti-tank aircraft.

Armour wont help against a 37mm. It might withstand some extra 20mm but a 37 will wack it.

And the ostwind won't be the only things shooting at them (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif). Also, the ostwind is not firing AP rounds. A 37mm HE hit on the armored part might in fact be relatively ineffective.

Hooligan, it's armoured, but it's not amroured like a battle tank. 1 37mm will damage it for sure. 2 will down it.
Aside from that, there really is very little use for them - unless HTC decide to make the Hispano less effective against panzers.
Germans could need the JU87 tank busting version, as we don't have any gun that can take out pnzs

Il-2 was the most successful tank killing aircraft in history. If you have a WW2 sim with planes fighting tanks, it should be in the sim.

Theres nothing wrong with Ostwinds as long as you know how to kill those...
Don't you guys already get it - you can't kill everyone on your first day in the game, you must learn first!

Newbies are ruining AH when they complain of things that can be killed if bothers to learn the method to kill them.

funked, sure. The JU-87 with anti tank gun was effective too.
The question is: do we need it, do we need ir right now, and "is its role already filled?".
With Hispano anti tank rounds, it is I feel.

Santa I'm thinking scenarios too. That plane is the reason La-5FN and Yak-9U don't have bomb racks.

Even an 8th of an inch of armor is pretty dang effective. Sure it's only 3mm's, but until you actually see how much armor that is (as in the case of the IL-2's bathtub) it well adapted to stopping a pretty heavy round.

I think u gents asking for the Stuka would find it quite the slug in the game room if u want a GERMAN ground ponder a Hs 129 would be much better it was built to do it after all and had a HUGE assortment of armament packages.

I agree in your concern about the future of AH Fishu. We dont want people to come in and ruin the game do we? Personally I think the most dangerous kind of people are the guys who use their friends and famelys E-mail adresses or maybe have an ISP that gives them an unlimited number of E-mail adresses to give them an unlimited row of free trials in Main Arena. And funny enuf that kind of people still claims to have the right to have influence on the developement of the game. And very often that kind of people still claims to have the right to flame other people.

I don't dislike the ostwind - just certain people who use it exclusively to vulch near a runway.

No Fishu I was not insinuating anything at all. I was just following up on the topic you startet about people ruining the game.
I was offcourse aware that you were a paying customer else you wouldent post about your experiences in main arena on the BBS would you?
What handle are you flying with these days? Could be nice to have a little chat with you when I run into you in main.
