From the April 13 issue of TIME magazine, quite possibly the most disturbing and damning study of human nature I've ever read:
"Which message persuade homeowners to save electricity: a call to their environmental conscience, or an appeal to their wallet? Cialdini tested those approaches in a San Diego experiment, and the answer was neither. What worked was an appeal to conformity. Residents used less power when they were told their neighbors were using less power. We're a herdlike species, more likely to be obese if our peers are"
"Cialdani says brain imaging shows that when we think we're out of step with our peers, the part of our brain that registers pain shifts into overdrive. "It's an incredibly powerful spur to action," he says."
I suspected it, I feared it, now it is confirmed by science. Welp, maybe it is time for God to take another whack at creating an intelligent species. Asteroid, wandering Black Hole, nearby gamma-ray burst, all fine choices.
Have a Nice Day! :)

No surprises.. now they've found a way to track where 'Mob Mentality' comes from..
This can lead to wonderful new drugs to allow us to cope.
2012 is just around the corner...
It's going to something wonderful.
These are not the droids you're looking for.

There ya go--everything you need to know about all the space asteroids that want to pop Earth a new ying hole.
There was a story on spaceweather yesterday about a large asteroid that has a bead on us.
I use it for the smoothed sunspot numbers and A & K indicies for ham radio long range propagation.
