whats up with logs anyone else have same problem raf only and even thats messed up?
-
Yep, Ive got the same problem, too.
-
yup, only some of RAF squad are listed
-
:huh
-
the summary still works tho
-
It appears to me that the summary doesn't match up to the logs though.
-
:noid
-
The logs that got posted aren't complete. It's only the RAF, and only up through about 22:41 or so. Summary seems to be pulling from the full log, so maybe the CMs can get us the full logs. :)

This is what happens when men with the souls of 9-year-old boys are desperately looking for the logs at 2am. ;)
-
The CM's have made some positive changes with the log parser and they are working on the problems that always accompany positive changes.
Hopefully it will be cleared up today gents. :)

Never mind the fact that the first post in this thread was only about 2 1/2 hours ago....

yes -- but people who look immediately after the event create a corrupt version while their being uploaded to ahevents.org. So this causes the CM to reload again, wasting another 20 minutes, and again deleting because people look at them to early.
So its a vicious little circle and the CM goes to bed to try uploading them later. We're working on the fix, just not a priority item for me/us.

loaded and viewable, didn't double check, but it appears to all be there.
-
looks good this time.
:salute

Manual, low-cost fix: just ssh to the box hosting AH Events (Bluehost lets you do that, right?) and run "apachectl stop" before you upload the log. ;)
Anyway, whatever you folks did, thank you very much for fixing the log for this frame! :salute

So how many people would you share your SSH password with for an account? I don't know about you, but when my name is on a hosting account I don't share since I'm 100% liable for the access to that account and any damage it may cause. Besides, it's a bit drastic to kill the entire web server to load logs. Oh, btw the logs are loaded via web page calls so killing the web server would cause the logs to take even longer to load.
PS: the fix should be in place to prevent all these people with the souls of 9-year-olds from screwing up the CM's night.

Sorry, didn't mean to ruffle any feathers. Every place I've worked on big web sites (NBC, Oracle, Pitney-Bowes, Avon), when it's time to update the content, the server goes *down*. >shrug<
-
I currently work for a GE/NBC location and I can tell you we do not bring the website down to make content updates. We may disable certain application functions, etc., but we do not take the entire website down to load new content.
