Hancock emphasized the importance to recognize and continue the tradition of Bob Gray Day because as a native of Killeen, Gray was an important war hero who deserved proud recognition.

From hat I've read, the Chinese paid a massiv eprce for this important mission.

Quote
The Chinese people who helped them, however, paid dearly for sheltering the Americans. The Japanese military began the Zhejiang-Jiangxi Campaign to intimidate the Chinese from helping downed American airmen. The Japanese killed an estimated 250,000 civilians while searching for Doolittle's men.   the Imperial Japanese Army had also spread cholera, typhoid, plague and dysentry pathogens.

Ironic that they are now our biggest rival.

3rd time I've watched Kermits version of "The Doolittle Raiders" now. It still blows me away, puts a tear in my eye and a lump in my throat! If the American players aren't balling tears then I must be soft! :cry

10/10 Kermit, :salute

i have got to say, this was one of the best films i have ever seen. i was glad i could be a part of it. it took many long hours to get the footage so he could make it. my most impressive moment for me during the making of this film was parallel parking a b25 on the CV! and the fact that kermit didn't yell at me ONE time during the making of it either!

it was awsome to watch last year froggy and it was even better the second time around! my daughter wants me to put it on a dvd so she can take it to school with her and show her teachers. she will be taking US history next year in 9th grade.

Thanks Hitech, and all.  We all appreciate the comments.
The most fun I had was during the shooting with the other 13 players.  Lots of creative ideas were said and implemented on the spot.  Really a great group of players that helped make this one.  Lots of good memories from the first night of filming.

Thanks for watching and let's continue the story of the Doolittle Raiders to future generations.

You're not suppose to make a film that brings tears to my eyes.  I'm too soft, was a great film.

All those who made it possible.

Ironic that they are now our biggest rival.
Well, we didn't really help the Chinese after the war like we helped Europe and Japan. Before WWII, China was in a fight for control with communism. After the war, the communist side had access to left over weapons and were able to take control.

Fraps was used to record the footage.
Sony Vegas 5.0 was used to edit the video and sound.

And it is true that the Chinese paid a massive price for hiding and helping the Doolittle Raiders, for those few months that it took for them to reach safety, while the Japanese Army was hunting them down.  That was also a long and very eventful journey that I hope to finish reading about in Jimmy Doolittle's book, "I could never be so lucky again" autobiography.

For those who haven't seen it yet, I thought I'd recommend "30 Seconds Over Tokyo".

Also, I said it above, but it bears mentioning again: great work, Kermit!
