The title should be a clue: "G-LOCK"  Which I take as meaning G-LOC or G-induced Loss Of Consciousness. He barely avoided a fatal crash the first time by pulling so hard he blacked out.

He knew the risks and pushed that little bit harder anyhow. Anyone who does an inverted half loop at that speed and altitude is looking for early retirement even if it takes 10 airshows.
