Oh yeah that sends a great message to the pirates. <insert old rolleyes smilie>

well the laws are kind of tricky depending on where they caught them.
I'm not quite sure what the US is going to do with their captive pirate, I didn't think they were allowed to take him here for trial... Not quite sure the rules in international waters.
Maybe the dutch caught them in Somalie waters, in which case they technically can't take them.
-
not sure what the rules of the sea are anymore. i dont think it was to long ago that the captain of the ship that captured the pirates could put them on trial aboard his ship and promptly hang them after the trial. in international waters of coarse.

"There's two things I can't stand in this world; people intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch."
Cloggies. :rofl

The Netherlands is one of the few nations where local families adopt the graves of American WWII dead and take care of the plots and put flowers out on national holidays.
For that alone, The Netherlands has my personal respect. :salute
Thank you Holland :aok

There is another reason I like the Dutch, but lets stick with clogs and grave tending.

Don't forget, Tiesto is Dutch. I know you're a closet trance head.

An outstanding point, Dutch Trance was some of the best the 90s had to offer.

Did you know Holland is possibly the only country in the world in which the armed forces have a union with rules about how long a soldier can work in a day?

 and... how is that working out for them?

I think they rather like it.

The British method in the age of piracy was to suspend a captured pirate from the bowsprite within a cage and tightly clad by ropes. The seagulls and rodents would make it a very unpleasant way to go and it stood as a warning to anyone thinking about piracy.
Today most nations are overly burdened by their own laws and so most every nation has decided to hand over pirates to Kenya. I can only imagine Kenyan prisons as being not too much better than the bowsprite cage.

Easy--shoot pirates on sight. Problem solved. :aok
