Ordered it on Friday.. I should have it on Tuesday.
Anyone got any tips on what MODs and anything at all about this "simulation"?

I have had it in versions going back all the way to Steel Beasts v1.0
As someone with over 20 years experience with the "Real Thing", I can say that it is VERY realistic.
Which mods to install would mostly depend upon the multiplayer scenarios you plan to participate in...

Got it today. Told the wife "See ya in 7 to 10 days".. wow.. it is better than the online vids which have been posted.

There's multiplayer in it? Do you get to team up and crew those tanks realistically?

Yeah there is multiplayer. They have fights all the time on a server setup by the company. They use TS for comms. I do not believe you can have more than one person per tank. I just got it yesterday and got it installed last night and have not had time to actually play it.

That's too bad.. I guess you can remote control the other crew positions?

Actually they handle themselves pretty well from what I have read. I will let you know once I get it fired up and have played it some.

I have the first verion and really like it. Great game. The only thing holding me back is the price, $125 :O .

I've only gotten as far as the demo, can't afford $125 for a game, don't even mention what I've spent
for AH (it's a secret ;) ;)) I was a gravel churner for 5 years in M60A1's. SB is as close as you'll get without
actually climbing in a tank. One nice thing about it, no greasing road wheels, checking end connectors, replacing
pads, and all those other grimy things ya gotta do to keep one of them beasts running.

That price is to steep for me, I been watching for a price drop for a long time. Maybe one of these days I could afford it...

Yeah haven't had much of a chance to play it though..
Did a few Thunder Runs and defense of the Fulda Gap. Got the M1A1 down but still have to do training on the M3 and other vehicles. This is one where you do the training missions.
It seems like a bucket of fun, but I need more time in it. What I have done/spent so far has been well worth it.
