Instead of just the regular offline missions I would like to see AI planes and bombers of Bishop, Rook, and Knight factions fighting and bombing each other like humans do in the main arenas.
I understand that it would probably be a pain to get the AI "leaders" of the different sides of the computer-controlled factions and planes to decide which targets to attack, which planes to send, and how to attack (whether to drop bombs, use rockets, or use guns). I don't believe that ground vehicles can be controlled by AI yet either.

I think with CT being shelved any work on the AI has been shelved as well.

Eh, what's CT?

*slaps head*
Basically it is exactly what you just described, only more advanced and is multiplayer, that HTC shelved.

Eh, what's CT?
With that said, I say HTC should continue to pour their resources into the current plan of attack that they already have. No to worrying about any more AI development.

Eh, what's CT?
This is what was known at "CT" (Combat Tour). It never went past the closed alpha stage and development was indefinitely postponed due to insufficient resources and it was felt that it would be better to concentrate whatever development resources on improving and updating the core game. Hopefully down the line sometime in the future Combat Tour will get a revisit and released, just not counting on it happening in my life time.
Here is more information on it when it was first announced.

The first time I fought the P-51 in the offline mission I laughed a bit because it's way better than 90% of the people in the MAs :lol
-
Awww, that's too bad. I hope it does get revived sometime.

I hope AI development continues. I would love to see them used in scenarios & such for the numbers.

Seems there are enough of us around here that understand programming and AI development that we as a community could write an AI protocal and allow the offline missions to develop missions based on it. Most the missions, at least as I understand it, have been written by the community, so why not an AI protocal, if it is really desired.
