Title: Clouds
Post by: moot on April 21, 2009, 04:09:26 AM
Can anyone name a map that you can load offline and find lots of clouds in?  Or do you have to mess around and make one yourself?  If you do, how long would it take to set up?

Check the terrain files on your hard drive.

Any terrain.res file with a matching .awa file has clouds. Whether or not there are "lots of clouds" will partly depend on how long you leave your offline room up. It can take an hour for the clouds to build, it's a slow process.

If you find a cloud file you like, you can copy and rename it to a different terrain file, but the clouds might not be where you want them.

Those are the quick approaches, any terrain can have a cloud file added, and that info is available in the help files.

Hours, even if I raise the time multiplier? I just need some clouds to take a couple of screenshots with.

My MA terrain has permanent scattered clouds over the border mountains and in the centre crater from about 45 minutes after it is started.

If you want to use it you can download it here:
