this is believe to be a prototype for a 5th Generation Russian jet fighter.

 The S37 Berkut is a really awesome looking plane.I just love the Russian designs,like Mig29 and Su27.They're sleek and very capable planes!

Can russians build anything without adopting or copying a design from something else?

well Nath somehow it slipped my mind that all A/C desighns were courtesy of brothers Wright.    (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/redface.gif) He-He I forgot - Ikar got airborn even b4r Wright had build his plane...

Will the little fact that USAF has tried this design of inverted wing over and over and came up with nothing make you feel any better?

There is such thing that called evolution and progress. If you smart you take whats good and make it better - that is evolution IMO.
