And it couldn't come at a worse time. Just got in from work, haven't had anytime to look over things I've had and forgotten....stressed....IDK what else. Anyway, wish me luck...I'm going for a 25 (highest is 36)...and this is my 1st time taking it

hmm.. We had the ACT here in WI when I was in HS, the SAT wasn't readibly available... I thought it wa a midwest thing.
good luck, it's not as hard as you think. most is simple reason. I got a 32 and was a 2.4 student (I slacked off ALOT)

I think they said to select C if you dont know the answer. That was the good advice from the screen classic Summer School. Ah, what a flick :uhoh

Test was fairly easy, I think I did well on it.
-
Hope the scoring computers agree with you. ;)
-
I joked with everyonw that was taking it by saying "hope I'm a good guesser!"
-
Just read that two students from one school score a 34 on there ACT. That i vary, vary rare for that to happen.
-
My wife scored a 34 on the ACT... She graduated 13th in her class out of 850 students, and that year i think three kids from our school scored 36's.
Hell, I scored a 29 and I didn't study a lick and was out till 4am the night before the test (I actually dosed off while taking it).
Banshee, the thing to remember is these tests are a joke. They don't measure intelligence worth a lick, nor do they predict success later in life. I have every confidence that you did great on that mofo! So don't sweat it! :aok
PS... have you thought about where you want to go to college?
-
Went to Miami U. last week and here are some statistics to get into that college:
Average GPA: 4.2 all AP(Advanced Placement) courses, that would be college leval courses
Average SAT/ACT scores: 1100/26
That's what I can think of, and I got an 850 on the SAT so.... :uhoh

Yes, both SAT and ACT are nothing but a joke. How dose a three-four hr test determineds where you go to school? I know to many ppl that score high on these test and couldn't cut it in college.

I'm from West TN (Lauderdale County) so I'm planning on staying in state. My four schools I sent my ACT scores to were MTSU, Union University, Vanderbilt, and Austin Peay.

My cousin went to Vandy and loved it!!! Good luck bud! :aok

I guess it's kinda to late to way "good luck", because you probably took it a few hours ago. So how was it?

Should try taking SAT. They say those that do bad on ACT usually do better on SAT and vise versa.
When I took the SATs, I took it a second time in the fall of my senior year. Bad idea on my part when I tried taking the SAT with a concussion lol. Had a football game against a city school the night before and I couldnt even function. Managed to get a 1410, not great but considering I had a concussion taking it I laughed that I did alright.

I thought it was fairly easy...a few things i couldn't remember that I was taught last semester (sine, cosine, and tangent) and a few things I haven't learned. Those were the only true things that got me.
It was English (45 minutes - 75 problems), Math 60 minutes - 60 problems), Reading (45 minutes - 40 problems), and Science (same as Reading) respectively. English, grammar I'm actually great at (you couldn't tell by seeing my stuff in here :)) Already stated math problems. Reading - I'm a slow reader and my comprehension isn't as good as I'd like it to be, but I think I did well. Science was just understanding graphs. We'll know how well I did in 3-8 weeks
on the times and problems...i think that's correct..my brain is fried from the retardedness I witnessed a few minutes ago :lol

Is it set up that any schools east of Mississippi River only acceptes SAT test and west of Mississippi River acceptes ACT test?
-
If you were stressed out about a standardized test, you weren't prepared correctly. They are entirely beatable, by anyone. I'm not saying anyone can get a perfect score, but a very high score is not out of the question. The only reason high scores are so rare, is that it's very unusual to have both the inclination and time to do very well. Most people just have one or the other.
If you are satisfied with your score, congratulations :) If you are unhappy, and have the option to take the test again, shoot me a PM. Perhaps I could be of some assistance.
:salute

Thanks Vudak. I wasn't really stressed over the test, it was more over personal life things. The test I thought was a breeze, guess we'll find out
