Did they change the respawn time on the townsfrom 45 mins to 30 mins? i keep hearing they did so i just want to confirm this.Also the ack time; did it change as well?

Drive to a town...shoot one ack and one building...start timer...ask people to not kill you because you're conducting an experiment and will leave quietly once complete...question will be answered.

45 minutes for town buildings. 20-25 minutes for town ack could be wrong on this one but nut too sure

according to htc, town buildings are 45 mins, field guns are 2 hrs (which is reduced by auto-resupply).. if the town guns are the same as field guns, you may be right. However it's always seemed to me they are timed like town buildings..

Drive to a town...shoot one ack and one building...start timer...ask people to not kill you because you're conducting an experiment and will leave quietly once complete...question will be answered.

Try asking not to be killed.  Would be like asking not to be vulched because you want to check your town status.

If it were me, I'd fly a 110 over and gun down a building near the edge of town...  Then fly far enough away that the ack has stopped shooting and bail out.  Grab a snack and a drink and wait to see when the building pops.

True, that part of my reply was a small joke.  The rest is still valid - why ask something and get answers like "I don't know...I'm not sure but...I think it was like..."  Just go and test it for yourself.  If it's that important for you to know, you should do a little work and find out for yourself.

those ain't town ack. i'm almost certain they are different just from experience...  ack always starts popping same time buildings do...

whatever the case, the htc help pages need some work :)

if town ack can be resupplied, why dont we see m3 races (enemy troop vs. friendly field supplies -- from competing spawns) to resupply the town ack?

Just because you see a lot of players doing, or not doing, something, you can't really be sure it does or does not work.

Remember the "drop troops to friendly maproom to 'reset' it" craze? Suddenly everybody was doing it and you could see it all the time. And it took almost a year until people did finally start to believe it doesn't work at all  :lol

Field ack, dar, ammo and barracks can all be brought up faster by dropping supplies. If the zone base is yours it may only take 1 or 2 drops to bring them up.... if not, it could be up to 7 depending on damage.


Town ack can never be brought up by supplies, it's a timing issue.

Friendly troops sent to the map room to reset it does not work. The map room is reset after 10 min I think although I have heard 15 before. It definitively resets once a building or ack pops up. Quite a few times I have lost a map room capture to this.
