I just started using Aces High on my new computer and I'm having trouble with getting the microphone volume louder. I'm running Vista home premium 64 bit. I tuned to myself and I can barely hear myself even if I yell. The microphone was running fine on XP and it's about a month old. I went into control panel and the microphone volume was already set at 100. I tried .resetv also, but no results. Anybody have an idea as to why and how to fix it?

Look for an option "microphone gain boost" or something like that. I can't help you with vista, but it's easy to find in XP.

Go to Vista's sound prefs...recording...get properties for your mic...custom tab...checkmark the Microphone +20dB Boost.
You might need to update the audio drivers; I had to update mine because the dB boost never stayed enabled.
Hope that helps.

Turn all the other sounds in game down a bit individually and turn your overall computer volume up. When I first started I couldn't hear vox over the other game sounds and this worked for me.
Just beware, ships guns, as far as I know, have no way to decrease volume so they may blow your ear drums out.
